Cassandra D. Garcia "Cass" Santillan

Austin, TX - Cassandra D. Garcia Santillan, age 32, of Austin, TX passed away on Saturday, August 7, 2021. She was born May 2, 1989, in Harlingen to Nicolas Garcia Jr. & Juanita Guerra Garcia. Cassandra had a wonderful personality and was very fun loving. She enjoyed spending time with her family whether it be shopping with her mother or binge-watching shows with her husband, Matt. Cassandra loved to be in the kitchen making her delicious desserts. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Cassandra is preceded in death by her father, Nicolas Garcia Jr.; brother, Alex Guerra; and paternal grandmother, Gloria Garcia.

She leaves to cherish her beautiful memory, her loving husband of 11 years, Matthew Santillan; parents, Alex & Juanita Guerra; siblings, Damian Garcia, Cecilia Guerra (Alexander Gomez Sr.), Noe Guerra, Daniel Guerra, Aaron Guerra, & Abram Guerra; nephew, Alexander Gomez Jr. (AJ); maternal grandparents, Juan Lopez Sr. & Eduviges Lopez; aunts, Alma Garza (Ramiro), Olivia Garcia; uncles, Juan Lopez Jr. (Cindy), Andres Lopez, Nino Garcia, JB Garcia (Venalie); mother and father-in-law, Gregorio & Mary Kay Santillan; brother-in-law, Brent Santillan; sister-in-law, Kristina Santillan; nephew, David Martinez; niece, Kaylee Martinez; along with numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, & friends, and her precious furbaby, Russ.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 12, 2021, from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm with a prayer service of the Holy Rosary to begin at 7:00 pm at Trinity Funeral Chapel of the Holy Spirit led by Mary Martinez accompanied with Pete Martinez.

Funeral Service will be held on Friday, August 13, 2021 at 10:00 am at St. Anthony Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park Cemetery, San Benito, Texas.
