Cassidy Star Corcoran, 24, of Woodstock, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, June 4, 2017 in Chicago. She was born on December 25, 1992 in Arlington Heights to Patrick Joseph and Deborah (nee Carrasco) Corcoran.
Cassidy was the brightest star, born on Christmas day and was the most beautiful girl in the world. Her passions included the ocean and oceanography, painting rocks, horses and nature. She loved to write stories and poems and was an avid reader.
She is survived by her mother, Deborah Corcoran; her sister, Sommer Skye Corcoran; her aunt, Cynthia (Al) Voras; and her uncle, Bill (Sylvia) Carrasco.
She is preceded in death by her father, Patrick Joseph Corcoran.
The family will be receiving guests from 3:00 to 9:00pm, Monday, June 19, 2017 at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake. A visitation will be held from 10:00am until time of funeral Mass at 11:00am, Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at the Church of Holy Apostles, 5211 Bull Valley Rd., McHenry. Interment private. Per the family's request, bright clothing is appreciated.

Cassidy was such a beautiful person inside and out. She was genuinely compassionate, down to earth, artistic, just a free spirit. She was so talented, authentic and intelligent; it was such a shock to hear of her passing and I am deeply saddened that I wasn't able to spend more time with her and see her realize her true potential. My deepest sympathies to her family. I hope she is at peace <3
