I only just read Cathy's memorial notice in the Fall Gonzaga Magazine. I am so sorry to hear of her passing as I had only reconnected with her back in 2008. She was my roommate in Rebmann hall in 75-76. We had a blast watching the winter Olympics and meeting our various relatives when they came to visit. I regret not keeping in touch but know she kept her famous good humor throughout!

She worked hard and enjoyed Xena and her cohorts. Exercised, played, ran, and was involved with her family.
I miss her.

I knew Catharine through her participation at cancergrace.org, a cancer education site. As most people do, she came to the site looking for information to help with her own illness. But soon she volunteered as a moderator, answering questions from other users and directing them to existing resources. She wrote to me that she was "hoping I can contribute and learn as I go along. I did not know Catbard personally, but through her stories, which thrilled and entertained me for hours. I will miss her as will the fandom of the Xenaverse . My heart felt condolence to the family and friends of this wonderful lady. May she “Battle On” till we meet again on the other side.

We knew Cath only virtually through the Tavern Wall, and were so very saddened to hear this news. Know that many people are thinking of Cath and your family at this time.

Cath and I met in person only once, but I've considered her to be my friend for over a decade. She was bright, talented, strong, gentle, kind and committed to making the world a better place. Truly an amazing woman. I am honored to have known her.
I'll miss you, Cath, but I won't ever forget you.

I am greatly saddened to hear of Cathy's passing. I met Cathy in 2001 when I joined the Audit Division of the Employment Development Department (EDD). Cathy was a valuable member of the management team responsible for supervising the Research and Customer Survey Unit. Working with Cathy was a pleasure, she was an oustanding professional, a strong leader and enthusiasic, it was a joy to work together. Outside of work, Jonel and I enjoyed Cathy's quick wit and great sense of humor. She...
