Not sure what to say?

I regret not getting to visit with Miss Wolverton during her stay at Pleasant Valley Manor. She was a true professional, and taught us much in addition to the business skills we required for our work. They just don't make teachers like her any more! My sincere condolences to all of her family and my fellow students. The world has lost a really good person.

A most memorable teacher was Miss Wolverton. She "mothered" us all...in such a loving, natural way. I can still see her beautiful smile! So much care and concern came from her. She was an excellent roll model to us all...disciplined and structured. We needed that as teens!

Thank you, Miss Wolverton, for encouraging me in my yearbook. The statement you wrote carried me through all these years. You believed in me, back then. Your legacy lives on in your students.

I was so sorry to hear of Miss Wolverton's passing. She was truly a wonderful teacher - strict but fair - and person. She taught me so much - not just concerning the business world, but life in general. She was instrumental in finding my first job. I am still in that profession today, 47 years later - a medical transcriptionist. I remember her telling me, a sheltered student of 17, that compared to what I was used to, it was a whole new world out there. How...

I consider myself to be one of the fortunate students to have had Miss Wolverton as a teacher. She taught me some valuable lessons to be used not just in my career choice but, also life in general. Miss Wolverton had found my first job. She will always be remembered fondly. Hopefully, knowing that she has paved the way for many young students will be of some comfort to you. Judy SHS 1975

I have always had the utmost respect for Miss Wolverton. I was one of her shorthand and business students (Class of 76). Miss Wolverton was the first teacher that taught the importance of growing up, being responsible for your own actions, and moving forward into the world. She encouraged all her students to do their best. She was truly my favorite teacher. I used to enjoy seeing her tending her roses when she lived on Monroe Street. I also used to see her in her yard in South...

Miss Wolverton was one of my favorite teachers. She was admired by many. My prayers go out to her and her family.

Family of Wolvertons: I want you to know
Miss Wolverton taught all her students,
including me for 4 yrs at SHS the best
possible way to succeed. All she really
wanted was for every student to have a
promising future. Thanks to her, I followed her policies through out my career of 38 years, and was successful.
RIP, Catherine.
