I love Catherine Attla. She was a beautiful woman, and an extremely important tradition bearer. Her stories are among the finest contributions to oral literature the world has seen. I've written a tribute to her on my web site. Condolences to her family. I'll miss her deeply.

my condolences to the family. I wish that I could be there in Huslia, but I am still up on the slope. Aunt Catherine and uncle Steven helped me a lot during my time growing up around Huslia. Thank you both and god bless you, love from Victor J. De Wilde

It's been 25 years since I taught school in Huslia, and I can still hear Catherine's voice in my head. She and Steven were so kind to our family, and our son Christopher called them Grandpa and Grandma. Catherine's wisdom, warmth and kindness live on, and her influence spreads far and wide in ways she could not have guessed. Her joy in life and willingness to teach others will never be forgotten. Our deepest sympathy to Steven and all who love Catherine.
