Obituary

Barclay, Catherine "Candy" Age 38, of Mpls., passed away on June 26, 2009 after a six-year battle with breast cancer. Minnetonka H.S. Class of 1988. Former employee of Halleland, Lewis, Nilan & Johnson. She will be deeply missed by her parents, Kathleen Barclay, Hugh (Carol) Barclay; sisters, Carrie Barclay, Christine (Nick) Hensgens; niece, Evelynn; nephew, Guillaume; aunt, Mary (Miguel) Sud; many relatives and good friends. Candy appreciated the support of her friends and colleagues at the law firm. Her family expresses their thanks to her Doctors, Nurses and Palliative/ Hospice caregivers. Visitation 5:30-7pm Tuesday with Memorial Service at 7pm at: Cremation Society of Minnesota 4343 Nicollet Ave, Mpls. 612-825-2435

I am so sorry.I just heard this horrible news and I wish I would have made the service.Ill never forget hiking in the mountains with Candy and all our matching long underwear.I will pray for you Christine and Kathy. (and Hugh and Carrie too)..I owe you so much.Time will never heal this loss.Candy was so sweet and loveable.Yet another example of only the good dying young.

I was truly stunned to hear of your loss. It was an amazing time growing up as your next door neighbors on Creekside Circle, I can't help but remember the good times. my deepest sympathies to all of you, you are in my thoughts and prayers.

I remember Candy from high school. As we celebrate our 20 year reunion, I mourn the passing of our neighbor and friend. My condolences to you and your family during this dark time.

Dear Kathy, Hugh, Carrie and Christine,
I was so sorry to get the news of your loss. My thoughts are with you all as I remember some very happy times at your home on Creekside Circle. I feel blessed to have known Candy and have had those memories as part of my childhood.
