Catherine Bolton, a longtime resident of Gilroy, passed away unexpectedly on June 14, 2025.
Cathy worked in the retail industry most of her career and enjoyed seeing her regular customers. She was devoted to her family and parents, spending her free time helping them with whatever they needed.
Cathy is survived by her loving parents, Jim & Fran Bolton, her siblings Chuck (Tom), Carter (Maria), Carrie Howell (Rick), Jim (Liz), Michael (Maribel), many dear nieces and nephews, and her beloved cat, Othello. She was predeceased by her brother Chris.
A rosary and funeral mass will be held at St. Mary Parish Church, Friday, June 20, 2025, beginning at 1:30 pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to pet rescue organizations, a cause close to Cathy’s heart.

I met Catherine through my sister Ramona. They have been friends and work associates for 14 years.
She quickly welcomed me as a friend. Always quick with a smile and witty comment - always friendly toward me. I am saddened to learn of her untimely passing. She will be missed and remembered fondly to be sure.
My heartfelt condolences to her loving family and especially to her dear parents whom she loved very much.

We will miss Aunt Cathy's sweet heart so much. We always admired her love and care for animals and we’ll do our best to carry on that love and care in her honor. She inspired us in so many ways, and we’ll always remember her kindness.
