Not sure what to say?

Cathy was an inspiration to me while in high school in the early 70's (Tigard High). After I had a near drowning experience on the Oregon coast, Cathy wrote a poem for me that I still hold very dear. She gave voice to sentiments that helped shape my sense of self during a turbulent time in my life. Her expression of being human gave me a template for what my life could hold for me. I will always remember her fondly, and with gratitude for her generosity of spirit.

I am sorry I can't be there today with you all to share memories of Cathy. She was a unique and wonderful person.

Cathy, you were a favorite of mine at Lake Oswego High, always spilling over with positive energy, and always smiling. The world is a better place for your having touched so many lives. Godspeed.

Cathy was an inspiration to me all my life. She taught me to swim when I was a small child. We grew up on the same street, Kelok, in Lake Grove. I loved her Mother Jean, and I loved her for their celebration of all life. She greatly missed and will be long remembered. With Love, Shira Subotnick

We were so sad to read about Cathy's passing. We both taught with her at Gardiner Junior High where she was a counselor. She was so kind and we had no idea how accomplished she was. The community has lost a wonderful, positive energy. Our condolences to her family and friends.

The world has lost a delightful human being with a radiant, positive spirit.

Cathy was a dear close friend who always had a smile and a giggle and a joie de vivre. My life was enriched by knowing her.

I met Cathy at Lewis and Clark Graduate school. She was the most non judgmental person I have ever known. She accepted you as you are. A year ago I discovered that when my mother was dying some 40 years ago she wrote her letters just to bring her spirits up. She was such a wonderful unique person, I will miss talking to her about art, history, gardening and life.

Kari, So sorry for your loss of a really special aunt.
