KLATY, Robert I. "Bob" – Of Grand Blanc, age 67, died on Wednesday, May 26, 2004 at Hurley Medical Center. Funeral service will be held at 11AM, Saturday, May 29, 2004 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Jerome Frandle and Rollin Mader officiating. Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery. Visitation 12-4 and 6-8PM Friday at the funeral home. Mr. Klaty was born in Carsonville, Michigan on August 29, 1936, the son of Dell and Edith (Irvine) Klaty and was a resident of Grand Blanc for most of his life. He married Ruth Smith on August 5, 1966. Mr. Klaty was employed by Applegate Chevrolet as a salesman for 37 years, receiving numerous sales and product knowledge awards. Surviving are wife, Ruth; son, Robert P. (Tamra) Klaty; daughter, Michelle (Matthew) Brostrom; grandson, Chase Klaty; granddaughters, Skylar, Cruiz and Carmen Klaty; brothers, Fred (Barbara) Klaty of Gaylord, James (Carolyn) Klaty of Carsonville; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
