today is the 17th of June. I thank God for the joy that Mama Lucy brought in my life with her strong Christian Faith! we shared singing Gospel songs on her porch. (not often enough) Perhaps one day... I will share these songs with the World! We had so much in common... Her Dad named (Elijah) my Dad (Elijah) her Mom (Annie) my Grandmother (Annie) her late Daughter (Gladys) my Late Aunt (Gladys) and the best part.... her Grandson (Kevin) my Husband 2 date and Friend (Kevin) for me... Destiny :-)

To the family of Mrs Lucy Minnick. Those who bring sunshine to the lives of others cannot keep it from themselves. Mrs Minnick brought sunshine to lives of many. My friend Mingo Garcia loved his grandmother so much and introduced me to her. She made me feel welcomed in her home. My friend and coworker Ward Knowles spoke of her often since he had know Mrs Minnick since his childhood. At the age of about 92 Mrs Minnick came to Wards retirement luncheon and looked and acted every bit the lady...

I have many warm memories of Mrs.Minnick; most were in seeing her sitting out on the front porch on “D” street with her welcomed smile and sincere conversation. It was a pleasure knowing her. She was a delightful and beautiful person. My family and my heart are sad to know that your family has lost such a lovely woman.
