About 25 years ago Cathy shared some of her very special recipes with me. She taught me how to make the very best apple dumplings, an absolutely delicious Texas sheet cake and Chicken Yum Yum, just to name a few. She was an excellent cook and a patient teacher. I still make them often.

My deepest condolences to the friends and family who had the privilege of knowing Catherine. As mentioned in the obituary, she was a life long friend of my mother as well as our entire family. Catherine was a true pioneer, a devote friend, mother and wife. My earliest memory of Catherine was when I was just a youngster and my mom would take us over to her house so we could play and ride their pony.
