Catherine Girouard Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jan. 17, 2020.
It is with great sadness we share our hearts' loss, at the passing of Catherine Ann Girouard 68 on January 16, 2020. Born May 23rd 1951 in Fall River Ma to her proud parents, Mother Catherine Ruth (Roberts) and Father Casimir Stanley Malinowski. She was the oldest of three, and she'll be greatly missed by her brother Thomas Malinowski and wife Betty, Lisa Webster and husband Gary.

Raised in East Hartford CT, she graduated from Eastern Connecticut State College then married Stephen George Girouard August 11, 1974. She raised her family in Manchester CT until moving to NC in 1994, finally settling in Willow Spring, NC.

She leaves behind her husband of 45 years and children: Shannon Girouard-Fogl and husband Brian, Erin Girouard and Matthew Girouard. Her greatest joys in life, her grandchildren, miss her deeply. She couldn't have been more proud of Quincy, Zoe and Gavin. Matthew's daughter, who's on her way into the world, was already in her heart. They were the sparkle in her eyes when she smiled. She made sure everyone knew how wonderful and special they were.

Throughout her life, Cathy loved all her fuzzy beasts, especially her kitties. In lieu of flowers donations would be appreciated to her local SPCA of Wake County, 200 Petfinder Lane Raleigh, NC 27603
