Not sure what to say?

We did not know Catherine, but our son, Douglas Eberwein, is buried right next to her. He died April 8, 2021 from a rare, hard-to-treat leukemia at age 16 after living 13 years cancer-free after treatment for a more common leukemia at age 2 and 3 (ALL). I appreciate knowing that Catherine was such a kind, caring person and had worked in pediatrics. Douglas, too, leaves behind a legacy of kindness. There is some comfort that they are next to each other.

Our family grieves with you for the loss of Cathy. We have so many memories of our boys growing up together in Tigard, and the various events we went to together for the boys. Cathy was a sweet soul and loved her boys! ~Sam & Andy Shelley (Britton´s parents)

Cathy was my children's PNP for over six years. Her bedside manner and gentle presence was why we chose Cathy to care for our children. We looked forward to our annual well-checks and so enjoyed our visits with Cathy. She was such a bright light and a proud mother of her twin sons, she spoke of them often with such adoration. Cathy would take the time to make her patients feel safe and the parents felt seen and heard with any concerns. We knew we were in good hands with Cathy. Even when...

Cathy was my 10 year old daughter´s PNP almost her whole life. She was supposed to see Cathy that Monday morning when she was out sick. When we heard the news, my daughter was in tears! She said she was never scared to see "her doctor" because she always was so gentle and kind. She will be missed!

We send condolences and fervent prayers for Bob and family. The Rinios were favorites of ours when "the kids" were youngsters. Bill and Carol were like parents to everyone at school. We will reflect often on our shared path, from our days at Fir Grove and St. Joes to the present. Peace be with you, Lee and Robin Paterson

Cathy was beautiful in every possible way. I still see her walking from the back of church toward the altar to receive communion. She is missed beyond words.

I am sorry for your loss. Catherine sounds like she fully embraced family and life experiences. It is obvious in the obituary she had a family that embraced and loved her. I know none of you but I was touched by your shared story of life together.

I couldn´t be any more shocked and sad at seeing this. Rest in Peace, dear Cathy. You have been a bright light to many.

Offering our deepest condolences during this difficult time.
