Not sure what to say?

It was a pleasure speaking with Mrs. McCabe on the phone when she called for her daughter Cathy. My prayers are with your family.

When Iona College began recruiting female coeds, she was a beacon of light and gentility in infiltrating that 'good old boys' club. She did everything with kindness, charity and humour. When she left Iona, a shadow presented itself, and that space never saw the same light again. She was a subtle, discreet and compassionate woman who lived her religion to its fullest.

My condolences go out to the entire McCabe family . May your hearts soon be filled with loving memories as you celebrate a life well lived.

I would just like you to remember her great smile that could fill a room.

Mrs. McCabe was kind and generous. She, and Hugh, always made me feel welcome in their home. My sympathies to all of you.

Mrs. McCabe was a wonderful person and a great representative of the IONA community. Her values and beliefs are personified in her many children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. It is a sad day for those who loved and cared for her but a rewarding day for her life's efforts as she joins with God in her heavenly reward. Bill Martin '80

My condolences to the entire family. Ms. Cay was a phenomenal woman and a great example to society. She has impacted many through her career and her legacy will remain. May the lord give the family the strength and guidance through this difficult time.

The Manhattan College alumni community shares the grief, and is now praying for our fellow alumni and the family at this time. The Alumni Office has been informed. As well as the Jasper Jottings community that I personally can reach. We are all a little poorer now. "No man is an island, entire of itself ... any man's death diminishes me". We are sorry for your loss.
