Cathy Murphy was a brilliant scholar and teacher with a great sense of humor, a giving soul who inspired her students and her coworkers throughout her career, and a dedication to her students and to PNW. Her legacy at PNW is remarkable, having served in so many positions in leadership, governance, and teaching. Dr. Murphy was an inspiration to many. Her love and dedication to Purdue University Northwest (PNW) students were evident. She was always understanding and willing to assist with ensuring the success of her students and colleagues. She will be greatly missed, and it was a pleasure to work with her.

I will miss seeing Catherine at PNW. I truly enjoyed working with her. She is a beautiful person.

Cathy was a joy to work with here at Purdue University Northwest and she will be missed. May she rest in everlasting peace.

Cathy was an amazing influence in my educational career, from working on my undergraduate studies in the early 70s, during my graduate work, and especially during my return as an adjunct in 2019 & 2020. I will always remember her brilliance and caring personality, as well as her sense of humor. She will definitely be missed.
