Not sure what to say?

Cathy will always be with me. I loved hiking g and snow shoeing and camping and partying with her. She made everything and everyone special.

We went on three Cape Horn hikes led by Cathy. She was always bright, bubbly, happy, brought chocolate, wore glitter and stars and was very warm and friendly to Jim and me. We will miss her. Our sincere condolences to her family who lost her much too soon.

I went to high school with Cathy in Pendleton. She is an unforgettable person. Her sincere love of life was a blessing to witness. We had lunch a few years ago and she talked about her boys and how she was so proud of them.
I will never forget her beautiful smile and her darling giggle.

We became friends in an instant and I will love and remember her always, especially hiking in the Gorge and amongst the wildflowers and larkspur she cherished.

It was always a pleasure to be around Cathy. Her enthusiasm was infectious. I'm very sad to hear of her passing and extend my condolences to all of Cathy’s extended family.

Memory: Cathy summited Mt Hood on a Mazamas climb led by Joe Whittington on May 23, 2007. I was Joe’s assistant lead. The weather was great but the snow was very icy and Cathy found the conditions challenging. We worked together from the middle of the Hogsback all the way up through the chute focusing on...

The staff and students at Washington State School for the Blind will miss our sweet Cathy. We will dedicate our 2011 spring hikes to our Dear Sweet Volunteer.

She touched my life and my heart with her beautiful smile and her sweet and loving heart. My sincere condolences to her family.

When we started a hiking program at Washington State School for the Blind Cathy was one of the first to volunteer to help me with the project. She and Karl Kratzer rarely missed any of the eight hikes each year. The students at WSSB adored Cathy and they will be very sad to learn that she is no longer with them. Any time she was on a hike, WSSB or Mazamas, all of the rest of us on the hike benefited from her great smile and enthusiasm.

Cathy was a shining star who brightened the lives of all she touched. She will hold a place in our hearts.
