It was a blessing to grow up at Pearl Road United Methodist Church with the Painting family. My brother Tom and I loved and admired Wes and Catherine greatly. My Mom, Blanche, was a dear friend of Catherine. She was a gracious lady of warmth and affection for all. May she and Wes ever rest in the arms of our Saviour. May God bring comfort to her sons, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

What a wonderful woman I was blessed to know. My heart and prayers go out to all the family. I grew up at Pearl Road UMC and enjoyed MYF with the boys and then worked in my adult years with Catherine in UMW -- many a rummage sale.
