Catherine Ryan

My condolences to all of Cathy's family. We first met Cathy during her time at Iowa State. She and my future husband met in a shared class. Our three dorms ate at the same cafeteria and we shared many meals. We kept in touch over the years, meeting occasionally. Although our careers took us to difference places, for awhile we ended up in Rockford, IL at the same time. After Bill died in 2019, Cathy and I corresponded more regularly. She shared some beautiful memories that she had of Bill....

If this is the same Miss Ryan who taught at Coffinberry Elementary in Fairview Park in the 1970's, she was my 3rd grade teacher. While we didn't keep in touch after that, she was an inspirational teacher. She taught my younger sister as well and possibly my younger brother.

This is a picture of Cathy while in college at Loyola university in Chicago. She is standing by Lake Michigan. She was a good and loyal friend.

Although we only lived 20-minutes apart here in Ohio, I first met Cathy on a trip to the Netherlands in 2023. I much enjoyed her friendship these past two years and miss her very much. Eternal rest grant unto her and may perpetual light shine upon her.
