Not sure what to say?

Dear George:

I just returned to Fenwick after the Easter holiday and want to send my personal regards regarding the passing of Kay. Your profound love for her, made manifest everyday for so many decades I am sure, says volumes to all of us who cherish our own spouses. I know you now miss her as much as you love her. I also know that your deep, abiding faith in God tells you loudly and clearly that Kay is now gently at home waiting to again share your smile and your...

Dear Gearge,

We are sad to hear of Kay's passing. She was a wonderful friend to Mom. To have them both leave us for their new life in heaven is hard for us but think of how so many will celebrate in heaven. The two of them will be in charge of something up there! Love to all your family.

The Chicago Province Jesuits wish to extend their deepest condolences at this special time of great loss. Be assured of a daily remembrance of Kay, a cherished companion for so many years on the journey of faith and service, and all the family as the Jesuits and lay partners (George, Jr. of ILVC certainly stands out most prominently among them) continue the journey, "Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam."

Dear Mr. Sullivan,

My family and I were so sorry to hear about the loss of your dear wife, Kay. Our sympathy and prayers go out to you and your family. God bless you all.

I will miss Aunt Kay. She and my Uncle had a good long life together and my heart is with him today.

I was so disheartened to hear about Kay's passing. She was a beautiful wife and mother. I'm sure you will miss her terribly. But what a fine life she has led---so rich with family and friends. And we are here to support you through your grief. She is now celebrating with her Lord in heaven. Please accept my deepest sympathy.
