Not sure what to say?

This eulogy was written by Daniel Taylor, Ellen and Bob's fourth born child and was spoken by him at Ellen's Memorial Service...

Good morning and thank you all for coming to this Memorial Service for our mother.

I know that most of you knew our mother very well… and to extol her virtues would, literally, take hours… so instead, I am going to try and summarize the very special and inspiring life of our Mother into 3 principles that she lived by….

The Taylor family would like to thank all who contributed to this questbook. Your comments meant so much to us...

We would also like to thank the following who contributed to Mom's favorite charities, sent flowers and mass cards, made meals or simply made a phone call of encouragement...

The Gage family, the team at Doris Duke Farms, Peter Duttweiler, John and Sue Moran, the Dreyfuss family, Jim and Mary Kate Buff, John J. Bachman, Nancy Murray, John and Marie...

Pat and family,

I'm sorry for the loss of your mother. I couldn't attend her memorial mass due to my teaching obligations.

She gave many hours volunteering her time to Skaneateles organizations. She was an inspiration to so many people in our community. You are in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Pat,

From your friends at the Board of Elections:

"As you remember, as you grieve, as you honor a good life, in all you do, please know you're surrounded by caring thoughts and wished all that gives you strength and blesses you with hope."

Dear Packy,

The article in the paper was a beautiful tribute to an incredible lady, "Our Miss Gibbons," your lovely Mom.

I can not recall ever seeing her without her warm Irish smile. It was like she put it on first thing in the morning and "never left home without it." And if her smile wasn't enough to charm people, she would laugh her hearty laugh and warm up a room.

And as for you, Packy, I know that you will miss her every moment of everyday. But no...

"Though the ones we love may leave life as we know it, in our memory, the love we knew will always carry on..."

So sorry,

Erma Jervas
