Catherine Franklin Vandegrift

Hellow Frances Just saw where Catherine passed away in February. So sorry to hear. She certainly had long life. I'm glad I got to know her when I did. I really enjoyed being around her and collecting family oi ly history. Glad we brought my dad to to see her back in 2015 while they we still able. Dad passed in July 2021..he was 91. I grew up in the First Presbyterian Church in Auburn AL. Frank and Catherine were leaders in the mission work connected to that church, and later leaders within our congregation. What a wonderful, beautiful obituary of the life of Catherine (and Frank) that my brother and his wife, Bill and Ellen Sherling, who still live in Auburn and are leaders in FPC Auburn shared with me. My father, Bill Sherling, Sr. , along with Rev. Dr. Wallace Alston and Neil Davis were founders of PCM at FPC Auburn....
