Catherine Mary Voelker, 71, passed away Sunday, January 31, 2010. She was born on March 29, 1938 in New York. Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 4, 2010 at 10:00 AM in the Gordon Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Lakeland Memorial Park. Mrs. Voelker is survived by her husband, William Voelker, sons, William Voelker, III of Matthews and Glenn Voelker of Monroe, daughter, Brenda Cherney and friend John Frame of Midland, grandchildren, Nicole Morgan, Philip Cherney, Jr., Caleb Voelker, Forrest Voelker, Brady Voelker and Spencer Voelker, and one great grandchild, Jayden Morgan. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 until 7:00 at Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Ave., Monroe, NC 28112.
