WILLIAMS, Catherine E., 92, of Mechanicsville passed away September 28, 2012. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred W. Williams. She is survived by her daughter, Dorothy Jackson (William); son, James F. Williams (Ruth A. Williams); two brothers, J.T. Ellinger and Richard Ellinger; five grandchildren, Susan Jones, James Williams II, Robin Poole, Chris Jackson and Lori Ferguson; eight great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Catherine was a member of Landmark Baptist Church. The family will receive friends Monday, October 1, 2012 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, Va. 23231. A service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at the same location. Interment will be in Virginia Veterans Cemetery, Amelia, Va., Tuesday at 3 p.m. The family would like to thank all the devoted caregivers at Sunrise Assisted Living and Bon Secours Hospice for their compassionate care. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Landmark Baptist Church, 4000 Creighton Road, Richmond, Va. 23223.
