Not sure what to say?

On the one year anniversary of my mother´s death I have many happy memories of time spent with her. I will always remember her on Christmas Eve singing in the choir with her friends Mrs. Swift, Mrs. Mercia and Mrs. Riley at the Williston Federated Church in Williston, Vermont. I can still hear her voice singing her favorite carols.

Dear Robin,

My thoughts are with you and your family. Your mother seemed like someone who I would have enjoyed knowing. I lost my mom 3 1/2 years ago and I know this time is not easy. I hope you find comfort in all that comforts you.

Peace and love,
JB

Grace, gentleness, kindness, curiosity sense of humor - are just some of the qualities that come to mind when I think of her. I admired and adored my Aunt. Although the last few years may have been difficult I will always remember her as a lovely, loving and kind woman. Our loss is most certainly heaven's gain.

Cathy was soft spoken person, always talking about the birds. I to look forward to spring each year when I went by to see all the daffodils in the field, now this spring they will be one more daffodil in the field. Sending thoughts and prayers.

-- Mrs. Yandell was softspoken & independent. I looked for birdfeeders, chickens, daffodils, & sheep when traveling by her home. Was she an alto or soprano in WFC choir? --

Dear David,

I too, remember the daffodils and the beautiful lighted Christmas star in the field. I didn't know your mom, but I certainly heard wonderful things about her. You must be very proud of her legacy, and hope you and your family can find peace in that.

Cathy was a rare and very special person. She was a guiding spirit and patron of the Green Mountain Audubon Society for many years. She was passionate in her love of birds and nature. She lived with grace and modesty, loved her children and grandchildren, had great artistic talent and was a pillar of Williston's community.

I remember her wonderful laugh and humor. Her family is in my thoughts and prayers.

I got to know Cathy and the Yandells in the mid 1960s. She was wonderful woman: kind, loving, gentle, trusting, outgoing, fun loving, and interested in all kinds of things and people. Cathy made an indelible mark on her community, and will truly be missed my many including me! I am thankful for the privilege to have known Cathy.

I always found Mrs. Yandell to be the most lovely "Mom" I knew during my childhood in Williston . Her warmth, her smile and the way she wore her hair beautifully with barrettes made me want to do the same. Her daffodils in the field next to her home always a reminder that Spring had arrived. I will always remember her so fondly.
