Not sure what to say?

Wayne, Elaine and Hintze family,

I was saddened to read about Cat's passing. I did not know her as well as I knew Wayne and Elaine, but growing up in New Cumberland, it was like a big family. It is difficult to lose a sibling, I still miss my brother Norman very much. Keeping you in my prayers.

Cat and I were in the same cohort in Clarion's library science master's program. Five years after we graduated, I came to work at HACC's Harrisburg campus where I had the delight of working with Cat every week for almost 12 years.

I will miss her humor and energy, her absolute openness to every experience and kindness, her courage and relentlessly positive attitude, her totally unique take on life.

I am 7 months older than Cat and she would joke about me pioneering each...

dear Bill, and family - - -
gosh, your sister was such a sweet girl! She and I went out a few times in the 70's - we had met at Ship - and she was such a nice, sweet person. I'm sure you'll get losts of msgs like this saying how she touched so many lives w/ her kindnesses. May God be with you all at this difficult time.

I worked with Cat for more than thirty years in the theater and spent more then a few social moments with her when we were younger. Unfailingly positive and unfailingly witty, she was a blueprint in courage during the latter years. I never heard a negative word uttered about her and I never knew her to be ungracious or tempermental. She was the most "un-diva" like person I knew.

Thru the many years knowing and working with Cat we had lots of fun before, during and after the shows, on stage, back stage and anywhere else we all happened to get together. She was a lovely, whimsical and vivacious person with a mischievous grin like a Cheshire Cat and a heart as big as the stage. Godspeed to you, Cat, on this most wonderful journey.

My Dear Miss Prism,

And so many other things... I was your student Cecily. I was able to gift you with a Georgia Tech joke into a joke category...only you would know, it wasn't quite Spoonerisms. I moved 3,000 miles away from you and you sent me a 'Blustery Day' in a jar, as I was in a place with no weather...whatsoever. You let me pick you up---because I could. We enjoyed several Shore Leaves together. You laughed at & anticipated the lighting cues I called I in "...Forum". ...

Cat had an energy about her that seemed to embrace whatever came next. Her e-mail were never dull. "With the speed of summer lightening," is a phrase I remember. And of course, so apt for life, "Onward into the fog." I'll miss her.

As someone who has worked with Cat at HCT (Theater Harrisburg) since the early 80's, I will really miss her smile and skewed sense of humor. She was a wonderful performer and crew person who threw herself into everything she did with 100% commitment. She was a gentle soul with and intense amount of energy and endless fun in her heart. Just saying her name always brought a smile to my face. We are all so much richer for having known her.

I knew Cat from Larp. She was always hilarious.
