Not sure what to say?

Sorry to learn belatedly of Cathy's illness and passing awayI remember our warm friendship in high school and early years in college, including walking back across a quiet and peaceful University of Oregon campus at midnight after watching a movie together and enjoying the evening and our friendship. Life-enjoying, resilient, funny Cathy!

Cathy brought joy and laughter to all who met her. To be her friend was a real blessing. We all will miss her, but she will be with us forever.

Thank you all for sharing your heartfelt memories of Cathy. She was a bright light in the life of everyone who knew her. We have learned that the website for Care Partners was incorrect, so if you make a donation in her honor, please send to:

I had the pleasure of meeting Cathy on the 92 express bus from Beaverton to Portland. Cathy was amazing, getting on that bus and going to work every day with a smile on her face. She loved to talk about her nieces and nephews and was so grateful for her sister in Sherwood. We found out that we were both XO's which sealed our bond. She had such wonderful things to say about her sisters from Eugene. I will remember Cathy as one of the most positive and strongest women I know. The 92 express...

We have lost a bright light, but the heavens have gained a star. I was a ChiO with Cathy and adored her. She was special. Hysterically funny, warm, and genuine.

Cathy lives at my house each year when I retell and regale the story of her very last final at UofO, near Christmas. I still see her singing on the stairway of the ChiO house to the tune of O Holy Night the refrain of ... fall on your knees and pray to Professor Goswami. Of course she passed the class.

Cathy...

"Roseberry" caught my attention! Please know you are being remembered by your "old" Pastor, Rev. David Weinert (91) and wife, Beth (Means) Weinert (86) living in Woodburn. I'll let my sister Shirley know. May the Lord minister to you. John 14:1-3

We wish to extend our heartfelt sympathy to the Roseberry family for the loss of their beautiful and talented daughter and sister, Cathy. Our thoughts are with you.

I was so saddened to read about Cathy's passing, she and I were best friends from the moment we met at Parkrose Junior High, in 7th grade. I spent many happy hours at the Roseberry house in East Portland and later when the family moved to Beaverton. Reading about her life and close relationships with her family and friends reminds me of the sweet, funny and adventurous girl I knew when we were young. My sincere condolences to all who loved her, she's left you way too soon.

One of the joys of living next door to Peg and Charlie is knowing Cathy, Carol, Chuck. Hearing about their adventures has always been a treat. Listening to Cathy describe how she spent the whole day preparing to watch the Hollywood Oscars was most entertaining. Cathy was known for her optimism, loyalty to family and friends, and her enthusiasm for any activity she was a part of which made life fun for all. She fought the big C with determination and was an inspiration to all. Our heartfelt...
