Not sure what to say?

I was a school mate of Cathy's from grades 7 - 12 at Sidwell Friends. We were in freshman English together and also U.S. History - junior year. Cathy had a distinct literary voice, a strong social conscience, and a friendly spirit. I am stunned and saddened by her passing. May her soul rest in peace! My deepest sympathies to her family and friends.

So sorry for your loss. Sending my deepest sympathy to you and your family at this time. Minette Hillman and family

I met Cathy when I moved to DC from Oklahoma City in 1971. She was a welcoming person in a not-so-welcoming place. We spent a lot of time discussing Vietnam, Watergate, and other issues of the day. I want to send you love and condolences.

Cathy was an important part of my formative years. Her loss affects me deeply.

I did not know Cathy well, but I spent much of my time in grade school and beyond with her at Sidwell. I remember her being very sharp and engaged, and an active participant in production of our high school newspaper over several years. She will be missed.

Cathy´s warmth and generosity touched everyone who knew her. She had a rare gift for accepting people exactly as they are, and her deep commitment to justice was a source of courage and inspiration for me. I feel grateful to have known her, and I send all my love to the family in this heartbreaking time. May her memory be a blessing.

Cathy will be missed dearly. One of my favorite people Love you Mikel
