Not sure what to say?

I was a reporter at the Westlake Picayune from 1998 to 2005 and got to know Cathy well during that time. I worked with her on many stories, she was one of my strongest supporters and sources. I also had the privilege of visiting Cathy's home and meeting her family of animals, from deer to peacocks. She gifted me with some peacock feathers and feathers of other birds she found on the ground. I still have them. I treasure having known her.

Wherever Cathy has gone, I am positive that she never missed a beat. I will miss her smile and I wish her the best in the afterlife.

Those of us left behind are sad now, but we will catch up one day.

Cathy was filled with creative ideas, positive energy and great hopes for her kids' happiness. That happiness will be a wonderful legacy.

To the Friends and Family of Cathy McElroy:

With our sympathy and wishes for peace and acceptance.

All who enjoy life in West Lake Hills can thank Cathy for her many years of dedicated service as a West Lake Hills Council-woman and tireless volunteer.

May she rest in eternal peace,

To The McElroys and Mrs. Scott,
We were so sorry to hear the sad news of Cathy's passing. She was such a wonderful person and we know she will be missed. Our deepest condolences, Linda Petty, Celia Pennington, Anne Netick and Jane Burr

I will miss you Cathy. You were such a loved spirit in our neighborhood hills, and you had such a loving and giving spirit. Thank you for everything you have brought to our community with your determination, and passion. I have always loved you for being such an animal lover. We will always remember you and love you. Forever.

The McElroys have always been wonderful neighbors. And we loved the eggs delivered to us whenever the chickens were laying a lot. Cathy even had special egg cartons created for her chickens: Cathy's Eggs -- Laid with Love. We will miss Cathy; we already do. Mike is a kind and gentle man who loves their children greatly. Cathy left a wonderful legacy with Cate and Andrew and we look forward to seeing them in years to come. Our condolences and love,

Kathleen, Austin,...

To Mike, Kids, & Mrs Scott,
I wish I could put into words our deepest sympathy. Our Love to all

To the Scotts and McElroys,

Cathy was always so full of life and love, which spilled over to her care of others. It is that love of life that will always make me smile when I think of her. May her love surround you at this time.
