Cathy Rucker

Cathy was a very dear Christian friend and co-worker at CCDSS. I am saddened to hear of her illness and passing. She has a wonderful sense of humor. One day I slipped and said an ugly word in front of her. She said smilingly "that's okay, ole Peter was a cusser." We laughed. One day she had a bad headache. Cathy, even though we knew each other from working years together, you were more than just a coworker. You were a dear friend and were like a family member. I will always cherish the conversations and memories we had together. I feel truly blessed to have had the opportunity to have known you. You are a beautiful daughter of our Heavenly Father. I am so happy for you! I will miss you! May God be with you until we meet again. I love you!

Sorry to hear of Cathy’s passing but know she is rejoicing in her new body in Heaven. Worked with her many years ago in Mecklenburg County. An employee you could not forget and wish you could clone. RIP ❤

Prayers for her family and all who loved her.
She was my introduction to Cabbarus County and she as anyone who knew her leaves an excellent impression. She was genuinely caring and concerned for the welfare of others.

I was stricken with sadness to learn of Cathy’s illness and her passing. We worked together for many years. She helped so many. I remember her calm and peaceful spirit, her positive outlook, and the concern she had for others. Most of all, I remember her smile. My thoughts are with her family and with everyone who loved her.

Cathy and I began working together in the same unit almost 30 years ago. She was a person whom I sincerely respected and admired. It is with great sadness that I learned of her illness and recent passing, but am comforted to know for certain that Cathy was also a person of steadfast faith. May she abide in eternal peace and joy.
