Cathy Jane Franks Whitehead, age 51, of Caddo Gap, died Tuesday, March 18, 2003.

She was born on March 12, 1952, at Camden, the daughter of Charles Adam Franks and Almer Evelyn Hawkins Franks. On July 14, 1972, she was married to Billy Ray Whitehead.

She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church and the Ladies Auxilary of the American Legion.

She is survived by her husband, Billy Ray Whitehead of Caddo Gap; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Jason Ray and Jennifer Whitehead, Bradley Adam Whitehead, all of Caddo Gap; her mother, Almer Franks of Amity; two brothers, C.W. Franks of Sparkman and A. C. Franks of Camden; four sisters, Lois Ann Garrett of Pindal, Charlene Eveione Hitt of Clinton, Mary Lee Wright of Camden, and Bonnie Beth Garner of Little Rock; two brother-in-laws, Raymond Whitehead and Tommy Whitehead, both of Kirby; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Services will be held at 3:00 PM, Friday, March 21, 2003, in the Liberty Baptist Church with Revs. James Black and Marvin Black officiating.

Interment will be in the Liberty Cemetery, under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood.

Visitation will be Thursday, 5 PM to 8 PM.

Pallbearers will be Wayne Buck, Jim Martin, David Mullens, Paul Black, Junior Sutton, and Carl Wright.

Honorary pallbearers will be Spencer James, Lance Wright, Chris Wright, David Carter, Brian Carter, and Richard Shaw.
