Cavanna Shacoria Smith was born on July 23, 1996 in Houston, Texas to Venita and Glen Jackson. She was later adopted by Patricia Howard-Crockett. She gave her life to Christ and was baptized at an early age at Faith Missionary Baptist Church where she remained a member under the leadership of Reverend Arthur Brooks. Jr., until she passed away. Cavanna tragically passed away on October 6, 2021. She was 25 years old at the time of her death.
She was educated in the public-school system in Houston, Texas. While matriculating at Sam Houston State University she met and wed Wesley Smith in holy matrimony on October 28, 2017. Cavanna was a proud graduate of Sam Houston State University, receiving a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice on May 10, 2018.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents Vernon Ray and Virginia Howard.
Cavanna leaves to cherish her precious memories, her husband Wesley Smith, parents Patricia Howard Crockett, Venita Jackson and Glen R. Jackson Sr. (Brittney), great grandmother Dorothy Howard, grandparents Glen Roy and Delores Jackson, sisters Brittany Wilson (Horace), Asia Howard-Haynes (John), Destiny Howard-Crockett, Charis Jackson, Felicia King (Tyrone), Dana Howard Byrd, and Randtrica Norman-Crockett, brothers Glen R. Jackson Jr., Devan Howard, Michael Brown, and Latrell Jackson, nephews Damiean Warfield, Gabriel Wilson, Jory Haynes, and Noah Wilson, nieces Micah Warfield, and Eden Warfield, uncles Vernon Ray Jr. (Casey), and Torrance, aunt Niklandra, a very special goddaughter Da’Lazia Dixon.
Her memory will also be cherished by her mother-in-law Kathy Leigh (Kelvin), father-in-law Ricky Smith (Peggy), sister-in-law’s Charlene Henderson (Joshua) and Arianna Smith, brother-in-law Mason Smith and a host of aunts, uncles, additional nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
