Thinking about the family of Cavett and remembering her during this Christmas time. She was a valuable jewel in this world

Cavett and Bob were so important in my life as were their children. They were the 'second home and family' to my son Jason and I during the 70's in Austin, Texas. We had so many laughs and fun being young and wild even with our kids in tow doing so many things in Austin. Cramming all of our kids in one car to go see the cheap drive in movies in the hot summer and the adventures go on. I still have some of your amazing letters you used to write to me with all of your little drawings in...

My deepest sympathy to all of Cavett's family. I first knew Cavett in grade school. When we reconnected in the Bay area many years later, she described the 2 of us to my hairdresser as the Princess and the Tomboy! Guess who was the princess -- not me. We primarily stayed in touch through our moms who were lifelong friends. I am so very sorry for your loss..especially coming closely on the heels of your loss of sweet Marie. I pray that you find comfort in your memories of your amazing,...

I met Cavett during her active diagnosis as one the enrichment leaders in the community she lived at. I knew from day one that she was full of life. Always up for a good dance and singing along to the classics. I remember the first time I heard play piano and knew her love of music. She truly made my days brighter and you knew from the family and people who surrounded her, that she was loved wholly. To her kids- thank you for sharing your sweet, lively mom with our team. She truly made the...

We are saddened to hear about Cavett, ane we share your loss. Cavett was a good friend in high school. Our prayers are with you all.

I was so saddened to hear about Cavett. Please know that she had many friends from high school who share my sense of loss. May God give you comfort at this difficult time.

Cavett Hughes and I enjoyed a very close friendship since the 70s. Apparently the story I wrote that accompanied the photos I sent didn't load. As the cart came before the horse, here is my second attempt to tell the story. I have so many great memories with her, this being one of them. She arrived at my house in Rockport ,Texas in a red convertible, looking glamorous in a long scarf and sunglasses. Cavett and I often got an art project going when she visited. Cavett had a long beige coat...

Maria and family, I am deeply sorry to learn of your loss of your beautiful mom. She and I were in the WTW Choir together, and in one of my favorite pictures of the choir, your mom is accompanying us. She may have shown you the horrifying orange dresses we wore, but despite those costumes, we so loved sharing the music. Such good times! My heart goes out to you and your family. May your mom's memory forever be for a blessing.
