Cecelia G. Ruiz

Shortly after the passing our mother, Grace Schroff,my brother, Jim and I visited Cecelia. It was simply a delightful visit listening to Cecelia reminisce about her fond memories of the Schroff family. Clearly,Cecelia treasured her childhood memories of time spent with her girlfriends Kathryn, Agnes and Grace.

My mother, Agnes Schroff Walton, was a good friend of Cecelia's and her sister Catherine. My Mom moved to L.A. after graduating from Nordoff around 1937 or so. The girls kept in touch by letters. In 1957 we made the move to Ventura and my Mom would take us to Ojai to visit her friend. Over the years we tried to get as many visits in as we could. My Mom's sister, Grace also enjoyed stopping in at Cecelia's to visit. Boy, could those girls recall their teenage years! They would laugh and...

I will treasure the wonderful times shared with Aunt Sil & Uncle Charles. They hold a special and honorary place in my family’s hearts and mine. We felt so blessed having in our lives.
