Not sure what to say?

Jul 20, 2021.....Raining so hard today here in Boca Raton, FL today that I started thinking of going out and getting a rain gauge. Made me think of when I was a child and bought my Dad a Cecil Carrier rain gauge for Christmas. He loved it! So did I. Always enjoyed watching Cecil on the evening weather back home in Kansas; Rice County. A daily staple for the family. Doubt if I can, but I'll try to surf the web and see if someone out there might have a gauge they want to part with. Cecil...

I grew up in Sedgwick, Ks and our family always listened to Cecil. Thanks for the wonderful memories.
Dixie (Parker) Anderson

I too recall listening to Cecil and his associates on KFH in the early 1970's. While rolling up " The Wichita Eagle " for delivery in Burden,KS I would listen for Cecil to give the weather for his friend-Clay J. Smith's area around Cambridge, as he would do on occasion. He would give the weather forecasts each morning between the farm report and police report, while Johnny Merril (or Morrell) would play a tape of sheep being driven through the studio, while he hollered "Get those Sheep out...

It was my pleasure to know Cecil and always enjoyed visiting with him when we ran into each other. The last time I saw him was several months ago in a restaurant and he still presented himself with that fabulous smile of love. May his memory be eternal. His Friend

Yes Cecil will be missed ,but in a better place. Our prayers are with you. I too listened to him on the weather until we moved to St George, UT

Dear Carrier Family,

Greatly sorry to hear of your loss. I remember growing up with Cecil as the weatherman. These were great memories!! May the lord bring you and the entire family through these hard times.

Sincerely,
Chris & Mary Wright

Growing up, Cecil Carrier was THE weatherman. I could not even tell you who was on the other channels.

As a young child, it was a real thrill when I discovered that the Carriers lived just down the road from my aunt and uncle, and when I got to tag along as my cousins played with the Carrier kids.

This really is sad, as I feel a part of my childhood had passed.

To the Carrier family. We met Cathy few times at B-98 parties for clients, but we also met Cecil through our television and radio many times over the years. It is not easy to lose a loved one especially one who has made such a positive impact on others the way that Cecil did.

You are in our thoughts and prayers.

May God Bless and lift up your family through this time of need.

Cathy, we are so sorry to hear about your dad. i remember you working with your dad next door when the kids were babies. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
