Cecil Byron Cheek

Cecil was one of the nicest people I knew. We worked together at the St Pete Little Theatre in the 1980s and 90s. His imposing frame made him stand out in a crowd; however, there was more to Cecil than that. His personality would make him instantly likable and once you got to know him, you discover that he is brilliant, funny, and most of all, sincere. He was one of those people who when you found out he was in a play or musical, you would react with, Oh! Cecil's in the cast instantly...

He was a great teacher for both my parents and myself. I am so very sorry for your loss.

My thoughts and prayers are with this wonderful family. When I babysat for the family many years ago, Cecil would drive me home. He was always so kind and caring. He really enjoyed driving his Volkswagen Karmann Ghia.

Cecil and my late father, Don Davis, were co workers in behavioral science at SPJC/SPC for many years. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family.
