Not sure what to say?

Pete Coggins was an amazing Doctor. Not only was he highly knowledgeable and skilled but was also an extremely kind hearted gentleman. He embodied all the qualities of a great physician, mentor and friend. His legacy lives on within myself as well as many other lives he touched. We miss you Pete.

Dr. Coggins saved my life. No Dr. could ever even slightly compare to the compassion and empathy he showed me during the roughly 20 years I was his patient. I will forever miss and remember him as he was one of the kindest people I´ve ever met.

Dr. Coggins saved my life. His kindness so huge and his heart even larger. He truly cared about me, came to visit me in the hospital and never forgot to ask how my dog Bailey was. He will hold a special place in my heart forever. Jennifer

I was blessed to share an office with Pete at MGH for 7 years. Not only was he a wonderful, intelligent and mild mannered mentor but, I also considered him a dear friend. One who was honest, supportive and protective. He was and still is an extremely special man. His love, grace, kindness and intelligence still live in spirit and within the hearts of many lives he touched along the way.

Dear Pete and family,
Pete was a warm and quiet presence during my life as a house officer at MGH. I remember vividly his grace and dignity when his son Chase was lost, it will ever be for me an example of how to suffer such a loss while carrying on to care for patients and family. A truly great human and doctor and mentor, he has left the world a better place. gary schoolnik

Dr.coggins is one the nicest people I ever met. He saved my life, I owe him everything.

I had known Dr. Coggins for 22 years, beginning when I was first diagnosed with my kidney disease. He later was my nephrologist and PCP up until he had to retire two years ago. Dr. Coggins was the epitome of compassion. He genuinely cared about not only my health, but my life. He was everything I could have asked for in a physician and I would be hard-pressed to find someone of his caliber again. My deepest sympathies to the Coggins family during this difficult time; sending love and light...

I was fortunate to have had Pete as a teacher and mentor in the HST program (class of '88)He was a fine human being - a gifted teacher, warm and funny. Very sorry to hear of his passing.

To the Coggins family,
Pete had been a very good friend of mine for many years. We go way back to Stanford years.
I am sorry to hear that he passed away. I remember vividly his intelligence and kindness.
My heart and thoughts go to the family.
May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.
