CECIL P. EDMONDS Lake Station, Indiana Age 78, passed away Friday, December 15, 2006 surrounded by his family. Cecil was born in Glenwood, West Virginia February 10, 1928 to Edward and Ida Mae Edmunds. He moved to Hobart at an early age and then to Lake Station in 1975 where he has resided ever since. Cecil was the owner operator of Edmonds Tree Service for 49 years, retiring in 1994. Before starting his own tree service company, Cecil was foreman for Davey Tree Service. Cecil was a former member of the Moose Lodge of Portage and Hobart Eagles. He is survived by seven children: Carol Jean (Don) Trethewey of Chesterfield, MI, Cecil Paul (Laura) Edmonds, Jr. of Valparaiso, IN, Joyce (Brian) Schwuchow of Hobart, IN, Linda (Jim) Hartman of Valparaiso, Terry (Tammy) Edmonds of Portage, IN, Jimmy (Michelle) Edmonds of Portage, IN and Steven Ray Edmonds of Portage, IN; 13 grandchildren: Greg Edmonds, Kim Bilkey, Craig Edmonds, Cheryll Edmonds, Jason Hartman, Timmy Edmonds, Chad Edmonds, Jaime Christoff, Haley Edmonds, Clayton Edmonds, Chris Edmonds, Jill Fuller, and Jennifer Edmonds; and 3 step grandchildren: Aaron Smith, Davey Maldonado, and Stacey Maldonado; 12 great grandchildren; the mother of Cecil's 7 children: Donna Jean (nee Springman) Edmonds of Hobart, IN; 1 brother, Eugene Edmunds of St. Louis, MO; nephew, Clayton Tommy Edmunds; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews; friend and companion, Kelsie Loar. Preceded in death by 3 grandchildren, Ronnie Trethewey, twins Jennifer Lynn and Janet Lee Hartman; and 1 great grandchild, Sierra Rose Edmonds. Funeral services Monday, December 18, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. from Rees Funeral Home, 600 West Old Ridge Rd., Hobart, with Rev. Jerry Castleman, officiating. Interment Evergreen Memorial Park, Hobart.
