Cecil O. Meyer

Cecil O. Meyer, 91, of Greeley died at home on Sunday, September 26, 2010. He was born November 4, 1918 in LaSalle to Steve A. and Minnie (Bernd) Meyer. Cecil married Opal M. Trousdale and she died on September 20, 1995. He served as a Private First Class in the US Army in the 314th Engineer Battalion, European Theatre, during World War II. Cecil was a truck driver for Monfort Feedlot. He enjoyed cars, gardening and loved his dogs. Survivors include his daughter Louise Holmes of Greeley, brother Dr. Lloyd (Joanne) Meyer of Texas, sister-in-law Sue Meyer of Greeley, sister-in-law Jo (Don) Ruth of Loveland, several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, grandson Steven Wailes, 2 brothers, 5 sisters and 3 infant siblings. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the Evans Cemetery.
