Cecil Ronald Price

Mr. Cecil Ronald Price, 70, of Belmont, died Friday, January 13, 2012 at Gaston Memorial Hospital. He was born December 22, 1941 in Palestine, TX, son of the late Cecil Woodrow and Mary Bernice Schwitter Price. Cecil attended the University of Texas at Arlington and was a US Navy veteran. He was a lifetime aviation mechanic, working for McDonald Douglas, Piedmont, and retiring from US Airways. He was invited to be a mechanic for the Blue Angels and owned and operated Price Pestcontrol. Cecil earned his 32nd Degree Scottish Rite as a Mason as a member of the Carollton (TX) Blue Lodge. He was an avid hunter, reader, traveler, and history buff. He was a man that loved his Lord, was kind and considerate, and would help anyone he could. Survivors of Mr. Price include his wife of nine years, Jenny McAlpine Price of Belmont; children, Alisa Price Casey and husband Steven, Sr. of Stoneville, NC; Ronald James Price and wife Amy; Ralph Aubrey Price, all of Madison, NC; sister, Sherri Price of Palestine, TX; step-daughter, Valerie Kokenes and husband Alex; step-son, Larry McAlpine and wife Angela, all of Charlotte; grandchildren, Steven Mark Casey, II, Brandy Leigh Casey, Savannah Rosa Price; step-grandchildren, Heather Leigh McAlpine, Jessica Dimmer, Stephanie Kokenes, Laney, Sarah, and Maddie McAlpine; four step-great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Cecil was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Moore Price. The family will receive friends from 1:00pm to 2:00pm, Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at McLean Funeral Directors of Belmont. A funeral service will be held 2:00pm, Tuesday in the Bumgardner Chapel of McLean Funeral Directors of Belmont with Rev. A.A. Bailey officiating.
