Gearty-Delmore Funeral Chapels - Robbinsdale Chapel Obituary

Cecilia (née Hagel) Gulczinski of Crystal, MN passed away at age 102 from natural causes on September 14th. She is preceded in death by her husband Frank, children Clare Ann and Gordon, and grandson Luke.

She is survived by her children Stanley, Earl, Susan (Patrick), Fredrick (Teri), Carmel, 11 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren.

She graduated from the U of M Farm School and met Frank, at The Calhoun Beach Club. During WWII she worked in factories to support our county and married Frank, now in the navy, in Boston while his ship was being repaired from the war. She was a much beloved mother for her 7 children. She gardened, canned, baked to perfection and was an excellent homemaker. She assisted Frank with building two houses, loved flowers and angels, appreciated God’s presence in nature, and was a chartered member of St. Raphael’s parish.  Anyone who met her would say she was a one of a kind story teller.  She will be sorely missed by all and her energy, work ethic, and loyalty to her family can live on through surviving family members.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, September 21 at the Church of St. Raphael, 7301 Bass Lake Road, 10:00 AM. Brief visitation will be held at church half hour prior. Interment at Gethsemane Cemetery, New Hope.

Please accept my condolences . I'm so sorry for the loss of your loved one. May the word of God comfort and strengthen you. 2 Thessalonians 2:16,17

My grandmother could whistle like a songbird...... Numerous different birds in the same song. Absolutely amazing. I will miss her, but all she taught me will never be forgotten.

In loving memory of a wonderful Grandmother. I will love you and miss you always. Your stories will live on through the generations.

In loving memory of a great woman. I am sorry for this loss to a great family. I was lucky enough to meet Cecilia three or four times and she always brought a smile to my face. What a brilliantly long life she had. I know of what an amazing grandmother she was, as Jennifer has told me of her childhood memories. Her love of flowers, birds and nature must have rubbed off. She is lucky to have had such a strong influence. I wish everyone in the family and all of her friends love and peace.
