To my long lost Manning family,
It is with great sorrow that I learn of your loss. Celie always had an open door to those in need, a hug for those who needed something extra, a great ability to laugh and love life....and, thankfully for people like me, a high tolerance for all of us who came in and out of her beautiful home. I am extremely grateful for the haven her home and family gave me when I most needed it in my childhood. Thank you to the Mannings for sharing your mom (and dad)...

Anyone who ever met Mrs. Manning was truly blessed, as it is very rare, indeed, to have the privilege of meeting such a wonderfully devoted mother & extraordinary human being. She had a magnetic smile & a fabulous of sense of humor! The world was truly enriched by her precious life. Her children are a reflection of just how dear and special of a woman Mrs. Manning was; and My heart and prayers are with all of you.

My condolences to your family during this difficult time. Although I didn't have the pleasure of meeting Ms. Manning, I was fortunate enough to have her daughter Amy come into my life in Japan as a colleague. I can only imagine what a remarkable woman Ms. Manning was to have raised such a wonderful daughter and family. May peace be with you and yours.

We just wanted to tell all of you how sorry we are for your loss of your wonderful mother. Gilley was such a warm loving person and she definitely touch our lives among all the others. The boys were always especially fond of her. Gilley always made us feel like we were part of her family. She will be deeply missed but we have to remember that she will now be all of our guardian angel.
