A Dear Friend of the WASP Earned Her Wings: She'd known my mom sinc 1943 and we became friends too many years later. She got to know mom and many of the women pilots who started their Army flight training in Houston. She was an employee of Aviation Enterprises, the Army contractor that trained the WASP. I will miss our annual steak diners. Another link to my mom is gone.

Such a beautiful woman of God. Our Magnolia Queen. loved the stories she told of our town and schools. I will forever remember the love, joy and God that radiated from her everyday. What an amazing legacy she leaves behind.

I have known Miss Celeste and her family since I was a school child. I never saw her without a smile and a kind word for everyone around her. She touched many, many lives over the years and her legacy continues in her family.

There are too many wonderful memories to share. I´m thinking of family dinners and ice cream "socials" and decades of Bridge games after she taught me to play. May her memory be for a blessing.
