Not sure what to say?

I'll always remember Celeste and cherish my memories of her

Mom it's been five years today & friends & family have all remembered the date & sent messages of love. Your dear sister Joan celebrated her 96th birthday today & cried happy tears on the phone remembering you. I spent a sunset in your beautiful yard & watched your birds frolic, with a nice breeze, and one of your favorites, a champagne cocktail.
Love always, Martha

Celeste- my sister- but also she was my mother and added to that - she was a true and fun-loving friend as well to me. Yes, our times through childhood, teens, marriage, and both of us giving birth to two daughters, etc., she continued to still be my "loving" sister. I am now fortunate to have my two nieces, Martha Walkington in Miami, Florida and Pat Collins, in Portland, Oregon, that between them are so good to me and we can share memories of Celeste - their Mom, and Celeste- my loving...

Sabrina Quinn Warren

Sabrina Warren says that her favorite memory of Great Grandma Celeste is that their parting words were always "See you later Alligator" & "After awhile Crocodile".....Sabrina has spent the last 4 + summers visiting her Papa Walt & Grandma Martha, w/ the added bonus of seeing Celeste during those special visits. I am very grateful that Sabrina got the chance to meet & get to know such a special lady.
Much love from Joy (granddaughter) & Sabrina (great-granddaughter)
XOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXO

My fondest memories of Grandma Celeste usually consisted of visits to the Thrift Shop that she ran for many years & spending time at her house, playing in the pool, meals at poolside on the picnic table, & baking cookies at Christmas time. The first time I ever saw a Palm tree-shaped cookie cutter was in her kitchen...we had to make sure the sugar cookies had orange zest & that we made palm tree & airplane-shaped cookies in time for Aunt Pat's Christmas visit. Loved her pita strip snacks w/...

Marian & Gerry...Happy times with Celeste in the 1980's

This reminds us of the great times that we had when we stayed with Celeste in the 1980's!!

Celeste with Pat & Martha, Nina & Agnes in Horsham, Sussex,England

Our story of Celeste......
It all started when we met Celeste's daughter, Pat in 1980. She came over to England with our Delta Flight Attendant friend Susan and the two of them stayed with us at our home in Horsham,Sussex, on their flight layovers. This was the start of many visits. Pat talked about her mother, Celeste and on one of her trips, Pat brought over a beautifully knitted Afghan as a gift for us "Lovingly Hand Knitted by Celeste Singleton" ! This we have treasured for all those...

Well you are seeing the world. Never miss a chance to send you and your little red Chinese envelopes on a trip. So your sister has put you in Lake Tahoe. You've made multiple trips to Oceanside Oregon and off Tunnel Beach Lost Boy Cave Short Beach and the inlet to Netarts Bay. You've gone off the Bridge of the Gods between Oregon and Washington. In January you passed thru the Straights of Magellan below 50degrees south latitude and off the boat off Punta Arenas. In March you flew to SFO and...

Well Mom I'm still here keeping watch over your beautiful yard; luckily birds are safe now since I have slowed down! Now I follow Martha down the driveway to get the morning paper instead of you, but she scratches my head and feeds me treats just like you did! She's fixed up your little cottage for family & friends to stay and I still have my "catio" on your shady porch under the oak tree. When you left us last July Martha decided to finally follow in your musical path and takes piano...
