Not sure what to say?

Celia was a wonderful human being. We shared our love of animals and art. A true loss in her passing.

Mora and I miss you. Your spirited embrace of life made you a natural at best friending. Thank you.

Think of you often. Wish you were still around on planet earth. Hoping all your beloved pets are surrounding you/

You are with me always. Mora sends her bouncy rottie hugs!

Celia I miss you.I never got to give you Bob Dylans Anthology.I'm sure you will be able to hear Dylan any time you like now, if heaven is indeed a place where all our favorite things live. you are beautiful and loved and very missed.Love always,Dani,Rick and ms. Maggi

I am saddened by Celia's death. We were teenage friends at Rice Farms on Long Island where she had two wonderful horses, Ebonaire and Bimbay.

We think of you, Roger, and Moira every time we walk in the arroyo near St. John's College. You always had interesting thoughts on art, travel, and family. Regrets that we never got together for that tea that we always spoke of. You will always be remembered.

Celia and I at the Burchfield Art Center gala in 1987, with Director Anthony Bannon, Celia's brother Charles, and art patron Seymour Knox II

I am saddened to learn today of Celia's passing. I was happy to meet her in 1987 when she came to Buffalo, NY for a gala celebration of our renovated museum galleries. I admired her drive to express her experiences through her sculpture and installations. I offer my condolences to her family and friends.

We as a town and community of people in the arts have lost a wonderful fellow artist. Celia Rumsey was a very good friend as both an artist and a diabetic. She gave me many hours of advice about the good doctors and the bad and the need to use a insulin pump. We met weekly at SFCC for the past nine years. I will miss her presence and conversations. I will always miss Celia.
