Swartz Funeral Home - Flint Obituary

CRUPPENINK, CHAD- Flint, age 47, passed away, November 27, 2025, at McLaren Hospital Flint.

Chad was born in Flint, Michigan on February 10, 1978, the son of Randy and Mitzi (Fylling) Cruppenink.

It is with a truly heavy heart that we share that Chad Cruppenink has passed away on 11/27/25. His last hours were spent surrounded by loved ones & under the phenomenal care of Mclaren-Flint’s Neuro ICU team.

Chad was a husband, father, son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, uncle and a friend. His love has left a part in all of us that we never realized we would miss, because we never knew we would lose him so soon. Chad truly was a man with a huge heart and dedication to everyone, and everything in his life (some may call him stubborn). He was someone you could truly be yourself around and helped make us all feel whole.

Chad loved music, funny movies & lighting off fireworks. He found joy in barbecuing & sitting/playing around a good fire. We will all miss his goofy faces, smart remarks & just him, forever.

Rest easy Chad.

We love you.

Chad is survived by his wife Shemariah; daughters, Kaitlin, Jada and Kira; father and mother Randy and Mitzi Cruppenink; brother, Lee and wife Kim; aunts, Becky, Robin and Rhonda; uncles, Rick, Dave and Ray;

Nephew, Hamish; grandma, Sal; grandma, Mary; numerous cousins, his closest Ryan. Mother-in-law, Kathy.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Frank and Betty, Grandfather Bill and niece Jamie.
