Christmas 2004 Chad spent time with our family in Montrose. We didn't know you at all, but welcomed in just the same. The next time I saw you, you were in full dress uniform visiting all your friends at Montrose High. We knew you were being deployed soon. Son, It's Veteran's Day. We held an honor roll reading of the names of the Fallen yesterday at the State Capital. I read a page of names - yours was one of them. We miss you, Son. We'll be spending Thanksgiving at Breanne's - Jacob will be there. We will miss you at the table, but we'll set a place for you, and eat some turkey (Jacob is going to deep fry one for us) for you. Remembering Chad on Memorial Day weekend. Chad was a teachers assistant when I first met him for my 6th grade class at columbine. Him and I became great friends. Because of Chad, I enlisted early into the Marine Corps as he did and made it back to my Montrose High School graduation in uniform. I am currently a Cpl in the Marines and have deployed to Afghanistan for OEF 10.1 and 10.2. Not a day goes by when I dont remember Chad and why im here. Chad, you are greatly missed my brother!
