Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home Obituary

Michael Chad Ritchey, 50, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Lawrenceburg, KY on January 12, 2023. Chad was born on February 29, 1972. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Charlie Thomas and Maggie B Ritchey, and paternal grandparents, Wayne and Mabel Oliver.

His loving parents are Kenny and Ann Ritchey Oliver of Lawrenceburg. They raised Chad to have a loving and kind heart, work hard, and cherish family. You would not meet a person with a bigger heart that loved all living soles both human and animals, than Chad.

He has an amazing son Matthew Whitehouse of Frankfort.  Matthew gave Chad the gift of his beautiful granddaughter. Aycen Layne Whitehouse. Chad instilled his love of the outdoors in Matthew. They loved to go hunting, fishing, and riding motorcycles together.

Chad's brothers are James (Opal) Oliver of Falmouth and Russell Oliver of Lawrenceburg. He also has a sister Kenni Lynn (Tim) King of Falmouth. The best thing about having Chad for a brother was his unwavering support, love, and always being our biggest cheerleader in whatever we did. His siblings also never had to worry about finishing their plates because Chad loved food and would do it for them.

Chads biggest playmates were his nephews Kurtis and Alex King of Falmouth, Carson Oliver, and Aaron (Meridith) Teegarden of Georgetown; nieces Aaliyah and Breanna Oliver of Frankfort and Beth and Katie King of Falmouth. His favorite days were being on a lake playing in the water with his nieces and nephews. Uncle Chad was a favorite because of his love of being silly with them.

Chad had numerous friends because he never met a stranger. He would lend a helping hand to anyone. He went into construction because he could build or fix about anything. He loved with his whole heart and lived life at full throttle. He will be greatly missed by everyone.

Visitation will be 11 AM – 2 PM Thursday, January 19, 2023 followed by the service beginning at 2:00 PM Thursday at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home.  Bro. George Dye will officiate the service.  Burial will follow in the Fox Creek Cemetery in Anderson County, KY.

Memorials are suggested to the Anderson County Humane Society https://andersonhumane.org/

I don't know what to say. I haven't seen Chad in a long time. Hearing that he has passed, hit me. As I'm sure, it has with everyone else. There was never a dull moment with Chad. Always full of laughter. Chad was a great person. He would give the shirt off his back to anyone. He will be greatly missed.

My dear family words cannot express what I feel in my heart for everyone. From the first time that I met Chad I met someone who had a smile that could light up the room. May God give you peace and comfort in your time of need. Brother Richard D. Halcomb,Jr. family and Falmouth Christian church.

I'm so sorry to hear of Chad's passing. Although I haven't seen or talked to him for many years, I have wonderful memories of him and his loving family. I will be praying for all of you.
