1982-2013 Chad Steward Rogers, 30, of Liberty, MO left his earthly home Monday, July 22, 2013 in Liberty, MO. Chad was born October 10, 1982 in Englewood, Colorado. He grew up in Liberty, MO, graduating from Liberty High School in 2001. He later moved to Jefferson City, MO, where he served as Youth Director for the First United Methodist Church and also a youth baseball coach. Recently moving back to Liberty, Chad attended Shoal Creek Community Church and was very active with youth activities. On March 21, 2009, he married Sarah Immele in Pleasant Valley, MO. Chad was an excellent husband, father, and friend and currently was a stay at home dad for his thirteen month old son. He was an avid runner, completing twelve marathons, and numerous other distance runs and was a member of the Liberty Running Club. He also was an avid sports fan, especially following the Denver Broncos, Sporting Kansas City, Minnesota Twins, and Kansas City Royals. Preceding him in death are two grandfathers, James Rogers and Dannie Gifford. Survivors include his wife Sarah and their son Matthew Job, of the home; his parents Greg and DeeDee Rogers of Liberty; brother, Ryan and wife Carrie Rogers, of Maryland Heights, MO; sister, Malia Rogers, of Liberty; two grandmothers, Vanita Rogers, of Denver, CO and Mary Gifford of Chico, CA; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Chris and JoAnn Immele, of Grandview, MO; sister-in- law, Katie and husband Jon Sobbe, of Kansas City, MO and numerous other extended family members. A Memorial Celebration of Life will be at 7:00 p.m. Friday, August 2, 2013 at Shoal Creek Community Church, 6816 S. Church Rd, Pleasant Valley, MO. Roy Moran officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Chad Rogers Memorial Fund, c/o US Bank, 1909 W. Kansas, Liberty, MO 64068. I am deeply sorry for your loss. I did not know Chad personally, but I knew his father, Greg, and the kind of person he is can only amplify the kind of person that Chad was. MY prayers go out to the family and friends of Chad Rogers.
