Not sure what to say?

I was a young 2LT staff nurse on the Amputee Unit at Letterman, 1970-71. He was full of energy, friendly with the staff and and inspiration to each and every patient. Someone you never forget!

I was a member at Presidio Army Golf Club and also an amputee. Corbin went out his way to show interest and encouragement to play. He invited me along to play several rounds and I always will remember what a great gentleman and person and he also make sure to beat me by 15 shots despite my being 25 yrs younger that didn't help. Corbin was the best golfer I've ever played with and I' was fortunate to be able to say he was a friend God Bless Corbin an American Hero and Soldier. Ty Wilson U.S...

Chaplain Cherry was very special to my family, a great part of our years at the Presidio, when he and my dad Bud Wilson were golfing buddies. I admired and respected him greatly! I'm thankful I got to visit with him as an adult, and to speak to him in recent years by phone. To his daughter and family, he was a blessing to all he met. Thank you for sharing him with us all.

Just last year, I had the good fortune to listen and speak with Chaplain Cherry. He shared his career story with members of First United Methodist Church. He was a remarkable gentleman and an inspiration to us all. He is a true hero!

Donna, Brandon & Helen,
I'm sending you love and support at this challenging time. I am honored to have known your Dad (Grandfather) for the past 40 years; and his compassion for his fellow man was a great inspiration to those who knew him. May you find inner peace in the presence of your family and friends!!!

Donna, we were so sad to hear about Your Dad's passing! We were attending Bethany Methodist Church in Winsteadville when Corbin was pastoring there. In 1964 he performed our wedding ceremony. We have so many good memories during that time. He will be missed by so many people. May God keep you and your family especially close during this sad time.
