I just found out about Char's death and I am shocked. We were wonderful friends in high school, and I traveled with Char and her mom and dad to Europe when we were 18. Talk about adventures and funny stories! It is a time I will never forget.
Reading about her faith and commitment to Jesus warms my heart. What a great inspiration for everyone who knew her.

I was very sad to hear of Char's passing. While we never were able, Roy mentioned how he was so looking forward to when I would get to meet you. I am well confident though that some day we shall indeed meet. My prayers are with you and Roy and your son. God Bless you all and may God grant you Char peace and lots of love.

God Bless you.
David

"char-ru" was my "sister"!

Our friendship spanned thirteen remarkable years!

My friend passed with the gentle grace and kindness of a beloved older sister. (Char was two months older)

To the end we giggled of our delight, as sisters, to sit at God's feet . . .one of us blond-haired, blue-eyed the other brown hair, brown eyes and God would know which one of us was which!!

She rewrote our histories to include each of us in the other's story.

Her creative...

Char' and Roy in the Mansion, July 2003

Roy and Shaun, I am so sorry for your loss.

Char was such a good friend to me. I had moved to Tennessee in 1998 to open a business, and Char was one of the first people I really came to know in Murfreesboro. She told me an amazing story of how God had healed her from stomach complications and how she should have died, but He spared her life. I'm glad He did and I got a chance to know her better. He walked with her through Breast Cancer and her Bone Cancer too.

I loved her like...

I loved my Mother with everything I had. I want to thank all of the loving responses here. It has been quite difficult, but I know as many have said here that she is indeed in Heaven, showing her wit to all of the angels. I could not have grown up with or chosen a better Mother. She was beautiful inside and out, loving, kind, sharp as anybody I have ever known and still know. Most importantly, someone that loved Jesus and wasn't afraid or ashamed to show that to anyone. I can only hope...

Char was the prettiest and most talented girl at Taft High School. What a tragic loss. She left behind many wonderful memories so she will never be forgotten.
